Friends and Strollers
Since it's been raining a lot lately we have been spending indoor time with friends. We wonder what really goes on in little Shadd's brain? It is fascinating to watch him interact with others and even more intriguing to point out the little 'almost grown but not really' gestures he makes.
So, we are all patiently but not so patiently waiting for Olivia to be born. In the mean time, we got to hang out with Barbara who is visiting all the way from Brazil. I could say that Shadd was just as excited to meet Olivia but I don't really know that haha.
Adam and Shadd must have been bffs in the premortal world. They are clearly best buds.

She is here and she is gorgeous!!!! Olivia Rangel Owuori, born October 14th, 2013
Shadd who normally is so attached to me and will not go to anyone, was very sympathetic with aunt Juliana. He wanted to be with her and would not let go of her finger. As if to say "Thank you, for pushing a living breathing human being out of your body".
He sat with her for quite some time until he discovered the buttons on the hospital bed.
The Makau's also came down from Louisiana to meet Olivia. The kiddos were able to get together. They had everything from push-up competitions to race car contests. It was fun!
This photo makes me laugh. Poor Malaika "Moooommmy he is staring at meeeee, make him stop!!!"
The rain finally subsided and we got our stroller in the mail. I didn't realize it had a flower on it but oh well, it will have to do. Shadd enjoyed the walk and so did we.
There are so many parks in our neighborhood we can literally go to a different one ever other day.
Travis really liked pushing him around in the stroller. He wouldn't even let me try and I'm more than ok with that.
We found A duck!!! The reunion with Mr. Ducky was brutally interrupted by the mail lady. As if leaving our mailbox open all the time is not enough. We've been finding our mail in the middle of the street or under the neighbors car.
Travis finally allowed me to have a try. Even if it was just to take a picture. Anyway, we have enjoyed this month of friends and strollers. We are looking forward to Shadd's first Halloween.
